Started in July 1997, the Rani Laxmibai Mulinchi Sainiki Shala is the first girls’ sainik school started by the Maharashtra Education Society. To contribute the best towards the development and building of our nation, the Maharashtra Education Society has made it a dream project and is doing its best to make it a success for the national cause. This unique school started with only one division of forty girl cadets from all over Maharashtra eighteen years back. Despite challenges, the school has successfully expanded to a strength of more than six hundred girl cadets. The inclination of joining Defence Services is increasing day by day along with opting for other services like research, the Police Department and the administrative wings. The school starts from class five with a capacity of 45 cadets in each division. The classes are from fifth to twelfth with two divisions per standard. Junior College i.e. 11th and 12th –has only Science faculty and is affiliated to the State Board of Maharashtra. “भारताला गुडघे टेकायला लावणे हेच पाकिस्तानचे ध्येय आहे, त्यामुळे सातत्याने अतिरेकी हल्ले घडवून भारताला रक्तबंबाळ करण्याचे त्यांचे धोरण आहे. या अतिरेकी कारवाया पाकिस्तान पुरस्कृत आहेत. पाकिस्तानच्या हद्दीत घुसून आपण कारवाई करू शकतो हे दाखवून देण्यासाठीच भारताने हवाईहल्ले केले आहेत. अशा परिस्थितीत भारतातील नागरिकांनी एकजूटीने आणि खंबीरपणे उभे राहण्याची गरज आहे. प्रसार माध्यमांनी आपली लक्ष्मणरेषा सांभाळली पाहिजे आणि त्याचबरोबर नागरिकांनी जनमानस अस्वस्थ होईल अशी कोणतीही कृती आपल्याकडून होणार नाही याची काळजी घेतली पाहिजे, सोशल मिडियाचा वापर जबाबदारीने केला पाहिजे, आपल्या आसपास काही आक्षेपार्ह घटना घडत असतील तर पोलिसांना त्याची माहिती दिली पाहिजे,” असे प्रतिपादन भारतीय हवाईदलाले माजी उपप्रमुख आणि महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीचे अध्यक्ष एअर मार्शल भूषण गोखले (निवृत्त) यांनी आज येथे केले. महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटी आणि प्रबोधन मंच यांनी ‘पाकिस्तानवरील नियंत्रित हवाईहल्ला आणि भारताची संरक्षण सिद्धता’ या विषयावर अध्यक्ष एअर मार्शल भूषण गोखले (निवृत्त) यांचे व्याख्यान आयोजित केले होते. त्यावेळी ते बोलत होते. मएसो गरवारे महाविद्यालयाच्या असेंब्ली हॉलमध्ये हे व्याख्यान झाले. त्यावेळी महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीचे उपाध्यक्ष डॉ. यशवंत वाघमारे, संस्थेच्या नियामक मंडळाचे अध्यक्ष राजीव सहस्रबुद्धे, संस्थेचे सचिव डॉ. भरत व्हनकटे, साहाय्यक सचिव प्रा. सुधीर गाडे, प्रबोधन मंचाचे अध्यक्ष हरिभाऊ मिरासदार आदी मान्यवर उपस्थित होते. “भारताने शांततेसाठी सर्व प्रयत्न केले परंतु पाकिस्तानने कोणताच प्रतिसाद दिला नाही, कारण पाकिस्तानच्या लष्कराला संवाद साधण्यात कोणताच रस नाही. स्वतंत्र झाल्यानंतर ७० वर्षांपैकी ५० वर्षे पाकिस्तानात लष्कराची सत्ता आहे. जनरल मुहम्मद झिया उल हक यांच्या कार्यकाळापासून पाकिस्तानी दहशतवाद बोकाळला आहे. ५७ इस्लामी देशांचा समावेश असलेल्या ऑर्गनायझेशन ऑफ इस्लामिक को-ऑपरेशन या संघटनेच्या बैठकांमध्ये वारंवार काश्मीर प्रश्नाचे रडगाणे गात आला आहे. या संघटनेच्या दि. १ व २ मार्च रोजी होणाऱ्या बैठकीत भारताला सन्माननीय अतिथी म्हणून निमंत्रित करण्यात आले आहे. त्यानंतर पाकिस्तानाने या बैठकीवरच बहिष्कार घालण्याची धमकी दिली आहे. भारताने आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावर पाकिस्तानला एकटे पाडले आहे. त्यामुळे तो आता असे उद्योग करत आहे. भारताने पाकिस्तानला दिलेला व्यापारी कारणांसाठी दिलेला मोस्ट फेवर्ड नेशनचा दर्जा आता काढून घेतला आहे. याशिवाय भारतातून पाकिस्तानात वाहून जाणारे नद्यांचे पाणी अडविण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. आत्तापर्यंत आपण पाकिस्तानमधील जनतेला त्रास होऊ नये असाच विचार करत आलो आहोत. पाकिस्तान मात्र कायमच दहशतवादाला प्रोत्साहन देत आला आहे. भारताच्या सीमेजवळ त्याने अतिरेक्यांचे प्रशिक्षण तळ उभारले. भारतीय हवाईदलाने नुकत्याच केलेल्या हल्ल्यात हे तळ उद्ध्वस्त केले आहेत, कोणत्याही नागरी वस्तीवर किंवा पाकिस्तानी लष्कराच्या तळांवर हल्ला केलेला नाही.” “भारत आता देशहितासाठी बचावात्मक नाही तर आग्रही पुढाकार घेत असल्याचे दिसून येते. भारतीय सैन्याला संरक्षण दले असे न म्हणता सशस्त्र दले असे म्हटले पाहिजे. त्यातून देशाची मानसिकता घडत असते. सध्याच्या काळात तंत्रज्ञानाचे महत्त्व खूप मोठे आहे. लढाऊ विमाने हवेत असतानाच त्यांच्यात इंधन भरता येते, त्यामुळे या विमानांची कार्यक्षमता वाढते. ५ हजार किलोमीटर अंतर मारक क्षमता असणारे अग्नीसारखे क्षेपणास्त्र आता भारताकडे आहे. याशिवाय इ.स. २०२० पर्यंत भारत हा सरासरी वय २९ असणारा जगातील सर्वात तरुण देश झालेला असेल. ही युवाशक्ती आपल्या देशाची फार मोठी ताकद आहे,” असेही ते यावेळी म्हणाले. १९४७ साली देश स्वतंत्र झाल्यानंतर विविध युद्धांच्या काळात भारताने घेतलेल्या अनेक निर्णयांचा उपापोह एअर मार्शल भूषण गोखले (निवृत्त) यांनी आपल्या व्याख्यानात केला. प्रबोधन मंचाचे अध्यक्ष हरिभाऊ मिरासदार यांनी कार्यक्रमाचे प्रास्ताविक केले. प्रा. सुधीर गाडे यांनी कार्यक्रमाचे सूत्रसंचालन तर डॉ. भरत व्हनकटे यांनी आभार प्रदर्शन केले. मएसो बालशिक्षण मंदिर इंग्लिश मिडियम स्कूलच्या विद्यार्थिनींनी सादर केलेल्या संपूर्ण वंदे मातरम् ने कार्यक्रमाची सांगता झाली.
