vishal-solankiमहाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटी या संस्थेच्या स्थापनेला दि. १९ नोव्हेंबर २०१८ रोजी १५८ वर्ष पूर्ण होत आहेत. या संस्थेच्या वाघीरे विद्यालय, सासवड या शाळेचा माजी विद्यार्थी म्हणून म.ए.सो. च्या कौतुकास्पद कामगिरीचा मला सार्थ अभिमान आहे.

आज मला एका वेगळ्याच गोष्टीचा आनंद होत आहे तो म्हणजे मी स्वतःशीच केलेल्या दृढ निश्चयाचा व संकल्पपूर्तीचा!... ‘I.A.S. होऊन देशसेवा – समाजसेवा करण्याचा संकल्प’; ज्या ध्येयाने आद्यक्रांतिवीर वासुदेव बळवंत फडके, वामन प्रभाकर भावे व लक्ष्मण नरहर इंदापूरकर या त्रयींनी देशसेवेसाठी, समाजसेवेसाठी ही संस्था स्थापन केली, तसेच ध्येय ठेवून आपणही प्रशासकीय अधिकारी व्हायचे हा संकल्प पूर्णत्वाला गेला. तो स्वप्नपूर्तीचा आनंद काही वेगळाच होता.

१५८ वर्षांपूर्वी आद्यक्रांतिवीर वासुदेव बळवंत फडके यांनी एक भव्य, उदात्त विचाराने शिक्षणाचे बीज महाराष्ट्रभूमीत पेरले. त्यांच्या समोर स्वप्न होते की, या संस्थेतून अशाप्रकारचे शिक्षण दिले जाईल की, ज्यायोगे विद्यार्थ्यांवर मानसिक, शारीरिक, बौद्धिक संस्कार होतील व नैतिकदृष्ट्या परिपूर्ण असलेली एक युवापिढी तयार होईल, जिचे राष्ट्रीय चारित्र्य भारतमातेच्या सेवेत सर्वस्वाचा त्याग करण्यास हसत-हसत तयार होईल. त्यावेळी त्यांना कदाचित वाटलेही नसेल की, म.ए.सो. च्या या लहान बीजाचे १५८ वर्षांनंतर एका महान ज्ञानवृक्षात रुपांतर होईल. त्यांनी ज्या स्वतंत्र भारत देशासाठी बलिदान केले त्या स्वातंत्र्याच्या रक्षणाची व भविष्यातील समृद्धीची एक मोठी जबाबदारी आपणा सर्वांवर आहे. मला नेहमीच वाटत आले आहे की, १९४७ साली आपणांस फक्त राजकीय स्वातंत्र्य मिळाले, स्वराज्य आणि सुराज्य खऱ्या अर्थाने अजून साकार व्हायचे आहे. देशातील बहुसंख्य जनता अजूनही दारिद्र्याच्या, अज्ञानाच्या, सामाजिक विषमतेच्या अंधारात खितपत पडली आहे. मला मनोमन वाटते की, १९४७ पूर्वीच्या राजकीय स्वातंत्र्याच्या लढाईपेक्षा या पुढील काळातील सामाजिक व आर्थिक स्वातंत्र्याची लढाई अधिक आव्हानात्मक आहे. राष्ट्रीय एकात्मतेला असणारी आव्हाने, एका बाजूला प्रचंड संपत्ती तर दुसरीकडे आत्महत्या करणारे शेतकरी किंवा कुपोषणाने मृत्युमुखी पडणारी बालके, जातीधर्माच्या नावावर फुटणारा समाज अशा अनेक प्रश्नांनी आपणास घेरलेले आहे. म.ए.सो.च्या या महोत्सवाच्या निमित्ताने आपण सगळे मिळून स्वतःशी एक संकल्प करूया की आपल्या परिने हा समाज जास्त आनंदी करण्यात प्रयत्नशील राहू. विद्यार्थ्यांनी आपल्या ज्ञानाचा उपयोग या देशाच्या उन्नतीसाठी करावा. यासाठी स्वातंत्र्यवीर सावरकरांच्या पुढील ओळी मला नेहमीच प्रेरणादायी वाटतात...

“गुण-सुमने मी वेचियली या भावे,
कि तिने सुगंधा घ्यावे
जरी उद्धरणी व्यय न हो तिच्या साचा
हा व्यर्थ भार विद्येचा”

अगदी बालवाडीपासून मी म.ए.सो. च्या वाघीरे विद्यालयात शिकलो. माझ्या जीवनाचा पाया येथे तयार झाला. लहानपणापासून आईवडीलांचे संस्कार, सर्व शिक्षकांचे प्रेम, या सर्वांचे या शाळेविषयी व शिक्षकांविषयी माझ्या मनात प्रचंड आपुलकी आहे. ‘खरा तो एकची धर्म, जगाला प्रेम अर्पावे’ शाळेनी शिकवलेली प्रार्थनाच माझ्या आयुष्याला कलाटणी देणारी ठरली. शाळेत असतानाच मी ग्रंथालयात अनेक पुस्तके वाचली. त्यातून स्वामी विवेकानंदांवरची पुस्तके वाचून मी भारावून गेलो व त्यातूनच स्फूर्ती घेऊन प्रशासकीय अधिकारी होण्याचे मी स्वप्न पाहिले. हे स्वप्न पूर्ण करण्यासाठी वाघीरे विद्यालयातील आदरणीय गोळे सर, देशपांडे सर, सुरवसे सर व इतर शिक्षकांचे मला बहुमोल मार्गदर्शन लाभले. या सर्वांचा मी सदैव ऋणी राहीन.

व्यक्तीपेक्षा संस्था नेहमीच मोठी असते. गेल्या १५८ वर्षात म.ए.सो.च्या संस्थेतून अनेक यशस्वी विद्यार्थी घडले, हजारो विद्यार्थी आले आणि गेले, पण आपली संस्था एका ज्ञानवृक्षाचे रूप धारण करून सर्वांना ज्ञानाची सावली देत राहिली. ‘क्रियेविण वाचाळता व्यर्थ आहे’ या संस्थेच्या ध्येयवाक्यानुसार येणाऱ्या भविष्यकाळात विद्यार्थ्यांना सर्वोत्तम शिक्षण देऊन नव्या युवापिढीला समर्थ करण्याचे बळ आपल्या संस्थेला ईश्वर देवो, अशी ईश्वरचरणी मी प्रार्थना करतो व संस्थेच्या पुढील वाटचालीसाठी माझ्यातर्फे मनःपूर्वक शुभेच्छा देतो.

The Parshuram Hospital and Research Centre at Ghanekhunt in Khed taluka of Ratnagiri district has 100 beds and 3 air-conditioned and well equipped operation theatres. The hospital treats patients with illnesses related to kidneys, uterus, abdomen as well as fractures. Surgery is also carried out in the hospital. Dental treatment is also carried out here. The pathology laboratory helps medical practitioners in the neighborhood. Ayurvedic as well as modern therapy facility is used in both OPD and in the hospital. Both methods of therapy are blended in a scientific manner in the hospital.

दि. १ जुलै १९९७ रोजी शाळेची स्थापना झाली. म.ए.सो. चे त्यावेळचे मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी श्री. अनिल ढेकणे, श्री. पानसे सर, श्री. शुक्ल सर यांच्या उपस्थितीत मुख्याध्यापिका म्हणून सौ. माधवी मतलापूरकर यांनी सूत्रे हातात घेतली. म.ए.सो. ज्ञानमंदिर शाळेची स्थापना करून नवी मुंबई परिसरात म.ए.सो. ने मुहूर्तमेढ रोवली. २२ वर्षापूर्वी रोवलेल्या बीजाचे आता वटवृक्षात रुपांतर झाले आहे. कळंबोली परिसरात मुल्याधिष्टीत उपक्रम राबविणारी शाळा असा नावलौकीक अल्पावधीतच शाळेने मिळविला.

At present, school has classes up to 6th standard.

On 5th November 2018 it was renamed as “MES Haribhau Gajanan Deshpande English Medium School.”
