Started in July 1997, the Rani Laxmibai Mulinchi Sainiki Shala is the first girls’ sainik school started by the Maharashtra Education Society. To contribute the best towards the development and building of our nation, the Maharashtra Education Society has made it a dream project and is doing its best to make it a success for the national cause. This unique school started with only one division of forty girl cadets from all over Maharashtra eighteen years back. Despite challenges, the school has successfully expanded to a strength of more than six hundred girl cadets. The inclination of joining Defence Services is increasing day by day along with opting for other services like research, the Police Department and the administrative wings. The school starts from class five with a capacity of 45 cadets in each division. The classes are from fifth to twelfth with two divisions per standard. Junior College i.e. 11th and 12th –has only Science faculty and is affiliated to the State Board of Maharashtra. Semi-english medium is offered to the Secondary section and English medium to the Higher Secondary section to provide equal opportunity to all girls in Maharashtra as we strongly believe that language should not become a barrier for them.

डॉ. आंबेडकर महाविद्यालयाचा विद्यार्थी अक्षय धनगर हा ‘नंदू मराठे श्री २०१९’ पारितोषिकाचा मानकरी ठरला आहे. महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीच्या आबासाहेब गरवारे महाविद्यालयाच्या वतीने आयोजित करण्यात आलेल्या ५२ व्या आंतरमहाविद्यालयीन ‘कै. नंदू मराठे शरीरसौष्ठव स्पर्धे’त त्याने हे यश मिळविले आहे. महाविद्यालयाच्या सभागृहात आज (शुक्रवार, दि. ३० ऑगस्ट २०१९) ही स्पर्धा आयोजित करण्यात आली होती. त्यात पुणे शहर आणि जिल्ह्यातील ३३ महाविद्यालयांमधील ४२ स्पर्धकांनी भाग घेतला होता.

बँक ऑफ महाराष्ट्रच्या पुणे रिजनचे महाव्यवस्थापक सुधीर कुलकर्णी यांच्या हस्ते अक्षय धनगर याला पारितोषिक प्रदान करण्यात आले. बँक ऑफ महाराष्ट्रमधील व्यवस्थापक संगीता देसाई यांच्या हस्ते अन्य पुरस्कारप्राप्त स्पर्धकांना पारितोषिके देण्यात आली.

महाविद्यालयाचे प्राचार्य डॉ. पी.बी. बुचडे यांच्या हस्ते स्पर्धेचे उद्घाटन करण्यात आले. या स्पर्धेसाठी प्रा. ए.टी. साठे, प्रा. पी.बी. कामठे, डॉ. अरुण दातार, प्रा. शैलेश आपटे, उल्हास त्रिमल, जयप्रकाश भट, भगवान परदेशी, डॉ. आशा बेंगळे, प्रा. उमेश बिबवे, विशाल भोसले, रोहित इंगवले उपस्थित होते. प्राचार्य डॉ. बुचडे यांच्या हस्ते त्यांचा सत्कार करण्यात आला.

‘महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटी हा आज शिक्षणक्षेत्रातील ब्रँड’

पुणे, दि. २६ : “माणूस हा सजीव असतो तर संस्था ही निर्जिव असते, पण निर्जिव संस्थेच्या कामात प्राण फुंकण्यासाठी पूर्वसुरींनी घेतलेल्या कष्टांमुळे आणि त्यागामुळेच आज शिक्षणक्षेत्रात महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटी आणि तिचे आबासाहेब गरवारे महाविद्यालय हे ‘ब्रँड’ निर्माण झाले आहेत. या महाविद्यालयात शिकणाऱ्या आणि इथून शिक्षण घेऊन बाहेर पडलेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांना अभिमान वाटेल असे आज या महाविद्यालयाचे कार्य आहे. गेल्या ७५ वर्षात महाविद्यालयाने केलेल्या यशस्वी वाटचालीची कमान यापुढील काळातदेखील चढती राहावी यासाठी या अमृत महोत्सवी वर्षात सर्वांनीच विचार केला पाहिजे,” असे प्रतिपादन महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीचे अध्यक्ष एअर मार्शल भूषण गोखले (निवृत्त) यांनी आज येथे केले. महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीच्या आबासाहेब गरवारे महाविद्यालयाच्या अमृत महोत्सवी वर्षाच्या उद्धाटन समारंभात अध्यक्षपदावरून ते बोलत होते.  महाविद्यालयाच्या अॅसेंब्ली हॉलमध्ये हा समारंभ आयोजित करण्यात आला होता. महाविद्यालयातील विद्यार्थ्यांनी ‘मएसो’च्या मुख्य कार्यालयातून आणलेल्या मशालीचे स्वागत यावेळी मा. गोखले यांनी केले.

यावेळी व्यासपीठावर संस्थेचे उपाध्यक्ष डॉ. यशवंत वाघमारे आणि मा. प्रदीप नाईक, संस्थेच्या नियामक मंडळाचे अध्यक्ष मा. राजीव सहस्रबुद्धे, उपाध्यक्ष डॉ. माधव भट, संस्थेचे सचिव डॉ. भरत व्हनकटे, साहाय्यक सचिव मा. सुधीर गाडे, महाविद्यालयाचे प्राचार्य डॉ. पी.बी.बुचडे आणि संस्थेच्या आजीव सदस्य मंडळाचे सदस्य व समारंभाचे समन्वयक डॉ. अतुल कुलकर्णी उपस्थित होते.

एअर मार्शल भूषण गोखले (निवृत्त) आपल्या भाषणात पुढे म्हणाले की, “विद्यार्थ्यांच्या दृष्टीने शाळेतून महाविद्यालयात जाणे हा एक पार महत्त्वाचा बदल असतो. शाळेत प्रत्येक विद्यार्थ्याकडे शिक्षकांचे लक्ष असते. महाविद्यालयात प्रवेश घेतलेल्या विद्यार्थ्याला कल्पना आणि आशा-आकांक्षाचे घुमारे फुटलेले असतात. तो शाळेत शिकलेली शिस्त विसरतो आणि मजा लुटण्याची ओढ त्याला लागते. विद्यार्थ्यांनी महाविद्यालयीन जीवनाचा आनंद घेतला पाहिजे पण आपले लक्ष शिक्षणावरच केंद्रीत केले पाहिजे. आपले ध्येय न सोडणारे विद्यार्थीच पुढे जाऊन जीवनात यशस्वी होतात हे लक्षात घेतले पाहिजे.”

राज्यातील पूरग्रस्तांसाठी महाविद्यालयातील विद्यार्थ्यांनी जमा केलेल्या निधीचा, १ लाख ५१ हजार रुपयांचा पहिला हप्ता यावेळी मा. गोखले यांच्या हस्ते राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ जनकल्याण समितीच्या पश्चिम महाराष्ट्र प्रांताचे सहकार्यवाह श्री. विनायक डंबीर यांच्याकडे सूपूर्द करण्यात आला.

महाविद्यालयाच्या जनसंज्ञापन विभागातील विद्यार्थ्यांनी तयार केलेल्या महाविद्यालयाच्या वाटचालीचा आढावा घेणाऱ्या माहितीपटाचे प्रकाशन मा. गोखले यांच्या हस्ते यावेळी करण्यात आले. तसेच हा माहितीपट तयार करणारे विद्यार्थी आणि अमृत महोत्सवी वर्षाचे बोधचिन्ह तयार करणारा विद्यार्थी प्रसाद किसन चोपडे या सर्वांचा सत्कार देखील मान्यवरांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आला.

महाविद्यालयाचे प्राचार्य डॉ. बुचडे यांनी आपल्या प्रास्ताविक भाषणात, महाविद्यालयाच्या गेल्या ७५ वर्षातील वाटचालीचा आढावा घेतला. तसेच यापुढील काळात महाविद्यालयात नवनवीन अभ्यासक्रम आणि प्रकल्प सुरू करण्यात येणार असल्याची माहिती दिली.

‘मएसो’ येत्या १९ नोव्हेंबरला १६० व्या वर्षात पदार्पण करत आहे. महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीचा शतकोत्तर हीरक महोत्सव आणि संस्थेच्याच आबासाहेब गरवारे महाविद्यालयाचा अमृत महोत्सव एकाच वर्षात साजरा करण्याचा दुग्धशर्करा योग जुळून आला आहे. महाविद्यालय आणि त्याची मातृसंस्था या दोन्हींसाठी ही विशेष घटना आहे, असे संस्थेच्या नियामक मंडळाचे अध्यक्ष मा. राजीव सहस्रबुद्धे यांनी आपल्या भाषणात सांगितले.

कार्यक्रमाचे सूत्रसंचालन महाविद्यालयातील मराठी विभागाच्या प्रमुख प्रा. डॉ. वर्षा तोडमल यांनी तर आभार प्रदर्शन डॉ. अतुल कुलकर्णी यांनी केले.

Established in 1967, it is one of the largest and single faculty commerce colleges in Pune. The College offers courses such as B.Com., M.Com., BBA, BBA (CA), BBA (IB). The College has also established the research centre (Ph.D.-Commerce), namely, Department of Research, Innovations and Consultancy (DRIC). An Entrepreneur Development Centre, a Placement Cell, a Commerce Lab are salient features of the College. The College provides facilities such as a computer lab, audio-visual aids, reading halls etc. The College is permanently affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University and has a rich tradition of meritorious students in academics and social fields. In the re-accreditation process, the College bagged the prestigious ‘A’ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), scoring the appreciable grade points 3.45 out of 4. It is also the recipient of the Best College Award of Savitribai Phule Pune University. In the era of globalization of education, it is necessary to give global exposure to students. पुणे, दि. ३ – “आपला देश विविधतेने नटलेला असून देशात अनेकविध कलाप्रकार अस्तित्वात आहेत. या सर्व कलांचे एकात्मिक शिक्षण देण्याची गरज असून महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीचे कॉलेज ऑफ परफॉर्मिंग आर्ट्स त्यादृष्टीने महत्त्वाची भूमिका पार पाडेल. संस्थेने लावलेल्या या रोपट्याचा भविष्यात निश्चितच वटवृक्ष होईल आणि देशाबरोबरच जगासाठी कार्य करणारे विद्यार्थी येथे घडतील,” असा विश्वास सावित्रीबाई फुले पुणे विद्यापीठाचे कुलगुरू डॉ. नितीन करमळकर यांनी आज येथे व्यक्त केला.

महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीच्या कॉलेज ऑफ परफॉर्मिंग आर्ट्स आणि मएसो सिनिअर कॉलेज या दोन महाविद्यालयांचे उद्धाटन कुलगुरुंच्या हस्ते झाले. त्यावेळी ते बोलत होते. कोथरुडमधील मयूर कॉलनीतील मएसो ऑडिटोरिअममध्ये झालेल्या या कार्यक्रमाच्या अध्यक्षस्थानी महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीचे अध्यक्ष एअर मार्शल भूषण गोखले (निवृत्त) होते. यावेळी सावित्रीबाई फुले पुणे विद्यापीठाचे प्र-कुलगुरू डॉ. एन.एस. उमराणी, ‘मएसो’चे उपाध्यक्ष डॉ. यशवंत वाघमारे व प्रदीप नाईक, संस्थेच्या नियामक मंडळाचे अध्यक्ष राजीव सहस्रबुद्धे, उपाध्यक्ष अभय क्षीरसागर, संस्थेचे सचिव डॉ. भरत व्हनकटे व साहाय्यक सचिव सुधीर गाडे व्यासपीठावर उपस्थित होते.

डॉ. करमळकर आपल्या भाषणात पुढे म्हणाले की, “पं. भीमसेन जोशी यांच्या प्रेरणेतून विद्यापीठात गुरुकुल पद्धतीने विविध कलांचे शिक्षण देणाऱ्या ललित कला केंद्राची सुरुवात झाली. आता गोव्याच्या धर्तीवर अनुभवजन्य शिक्षण देणारी कायमस्वरुपी व्यवस्था करण्याची गरज असून त्यादृष्टीने प्रयत्न सुरू आहेत. विद्यार्थ्यांमधील सुप्त कलागुणांना वाव मिळावा यासाठी संधी उपलब्ध करुन देण्याची आवश्यकता आहे. नव्या शैक्षणिक धोरणात स्वैच्छिक शिक्षणाचा (Liberal Education) समावेश करण्यात येणार असून त्यात ललित कलांचा (Performing Arts) अंतर्भाव करण्यात आला आहे. पुणे शहर हे विद्येबरोबरच कलांचे माहेरघर असून कलांच्या शिक्षणासाठी पुण्यातल्या प्रतिभावंतांना सहभागी करून घेतले पाहिजे. कलेच्या शिक्षणामुळे चारित्र्यसंपन्न पिढी घडण्यास मदत होते आणि त्यांचा उपयोग देश संपन्न होण्यासाठी होतो. आता केवळ नोकरी देणारे शिक्षण न देता विद्यार्थ्यांना स्वतःच्या पायावर उभे करणारे शिक्षण देण्याची आवश्यकता आहे. आपल्या देशाला कला, संस्कृती, योग, आयुर्वेद याची फार मोठी परंपरा आहे. या परंपरेचे केवळ गुणगान करत न बसता त्याचा एकत्रितपणे विचार करून जगभर त्याचे मार्केटिंग केले पाहिजे. रोजगार निर्मितीबरोबरच आनंददेखील मिळेल अशा दृष्टीने या सर्व विषयाकडे बघण्याची गरज आहे. आपल्या संस्कृतीचे जतन करत असतानाच नावीन्याचाही पुरस्कार केला पाहिजे. विज्ञान, सामाजिक विज्ञान आणि अध्यात्म यांच्या समन्वयातून भौतिक शिक्षणाबरोबरच अध्यात्मिक शिक्षण देण्याचीदेखील आवश्यकता आहे.”

एअर मार्शल भूषण गोखले (निवृत्त) आपल्या अध्यक्षीय भाषणात म्हणाले की, “महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीने सुरू केलेल्या नव्या महाविद्यालयात विद्यार्थ्यांना विविध कलांचे शिक्षण मिळेल आणि त्यांना नवी दिशा मिळेल. पुणे शहर ही सांस्कृतिक राजधानी आहे, शहरात फिल्म अँड टेलिव्हिजन इन्स्टिट्यूटसारख्या संस्थांबरोबरच आय.सी.सी.आर. चे क्षेत्रीय कार्यालयदेखील आहे. अशा संस्थाबरोबर सहकार्य करण्याची शक्यता पडताळून बघितली पाहिजे. हवाई वाहतूक, पर्यटन अशा विषयांसाठी एम.बी.ए. चे अभ्यासक्रम चालविले पाहिजेत. शिक्षण व्यवस्थेत क्रेडिट सिस्टीम आणण्याचा विचार स्तुत्य आहे. आपल्याकडे आता प्रत्येक कामाकडे आदराने बघितले जाते, हा बदल खूप चांगला आहे. प्रामाणिकपणे काम करणाऱ्या व्यक्तीला शाबासकी ही दिलीच पाहिजे.”

कार्यक्रमाचे प्रास्ताविक संस्थेच्या नियामक मंडळाचे अध्यक्ष राजीव सहस्रबुद्धे यांनी केले तर संस्थेचे सचिव डॉ. भरत व्हनकटे यांनी आभार प्रदर्शन केले.

महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीच्या ‘मएसो कॉलेज ऑफ परफॉर्मिंग आर्ट्स’च्या वतीने ‘संगीतातील घराणी आणि सादरीकरण’ या विषयावर ग्वाल्हेर घराण्याचे ज्येष्ठ गायक पं. विकास कशाळकर यांची कार्यशाळा आयोजित करण्यात आली होती. म.ए.सो. मुलांचे विद्यालयातील (पेरुगेट भावे हायस्कूल) डॉ. प्र.ल. गावडे सभागृहात शनिवार, दि. २७ जुलै २०१९ रोजी दोन सत्रांमध्ये ही कार्यशाळा पार पडली.

कार्यशाळेपूर्वी शास्त्रीय संगीतातील घराणी, मूळपुरुष आणि गुरु-शिष्य परंपरा, वेगवेगळी वाद्ये आणि वादक, जेष्ठ नृत्यांगना, याबरोबरच जेष्ठ नाट्यकर्मी अशा वेगवेगळ्या आशयानुसार तयार केलेल्या ‘फोटो आर्ट गॅलरी’चे उद्घाटन पं. कशाळकर यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आले.

कार्यशाळेचे प्रास्ताविक म.ए.सो. कॉलेज ऑफ परफॉर्मिंग आर्ट्सच्या सल्लागार समितीच्या सदस्या डॉ. माधवी मेहेंदळे यांनी केले. याप्रसंगी महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीचे सचिव डॉ.भरत व्हनकटे व साहाय्यक सचिव श्री. सुधीर गाडे. महाविद्यालयाच्या सल्लागार समितीचे सदस्य श्री. गोविंद कुलकर्णी, संस्थेचे मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी श्री. सचिन आंबर्डेकर आणि महाविद्यालयाच्या समन्वयक डॉ. दीपाली काटे उपस्थित होते.

या कार्यशाळेत शास्त्रीय संगीतातील ग्वाल्हेर, आग्रा, जयपुर आणि किराणा या घराण्यांचा इतिहास, प्रत्येक घराण्यानुसार सादरीकरणातील वैविध्य, सौंदर्यमूल्यांविषयी सप्रयोग व्याख्यानातून जिज्ञासू रसिकांना घरंदाज बंदिशी, स्वरलगाव, रागबढतीतील विविध टप्पे या विषयांवर यथासांग माहिती मिळाली.

पुणे शहराबरोबरच विविध गावातील संगीत अभ्यासक या कार्यशाळेला उपस्थित होते.

कार्यशाळेचे सूत्रसंचालन प्रा. अबोली थत्ते यांनी तर महाविद्यालयाच्या समन्वयक डॉ. दीपाली काटे यांनी आभारप्रदर्शन केले.

या कार्यशाळेसाठी प्रा. सुखदा दीक्षित, प्रा. अबोली थत्ते, छाया ढेकणे व श्री. विक्रम खाटपे यांनी परिश्रम घेतले.
