Career Counseling Group (CCG), ICAI jointly with Pune Branch of WIRC of ICAI in support with IQAC Savitaribai Phule Pune University and MES Garware College of Commerce organized 5 Days Workshop on ‘GST’- Girls Students Empowerment Through Skill Building on 01st July 2018 from 08.00 am to 01.00 pm at Savarkar Sabhagruha.
During the program Chief Guest Dr. Prafulla Pawar (Dean – Faculty of Commerce & Management, Savitribai Phule Pune University), Guest of Honour CA Uday Gujar (Member of Pune Branch of WIRC of ICAI), Speaker CA Shailesh Rathi, Dr. Anand Y. Lele (Officiating Principal), CA Sudam D Ghongatepatil (Vice Principal), CA Ruta Chitale were present.
The main objective of this workshop is to Empowering Girls through Skills, Knowledge, and Leadership & increase access to decent employment and entrepreneurial opportunities. The seminar witnessed participation of over 75 Girls Students from GCC as well as from other colleges.
A technical session was conducted which focused on various important issues related to Introduction to GST & Supply, Levy & Collection of GST and place of Supply, Time and Value of Supply, Input Tax Credit, Registration, Invoice and Records, Payment of tax, GST Return, and Miscellaneous provisions.
The seminar concluded with a session on ‘Questions and Answers’ in which clarifications were given to many queries particularly pertaining to sectors of exports, transport, real estate etc.
