MES Garware College of Commerce (GCC), Pune, was established in 1967 by the Maharashtra Education Society (MES), one of the oldest and most respected educational institutions in Maharashtra, founded in 1860 by great visionaries—Vasudev Balwant Phadke, Waman Prabhakar Bhave, and Laxman Narhar Indapurkar. The primary purpose of establishing the college was to provide quality commerce education and instill strong entrepreneurial skills along with ethical and social values in students. Since its inception, the college has remained dedicated to academic excellence and nation-building through education. GCC specializes in the field of commerce and management, offering a wide range of undergraduate and post graduate programs. These include B.Com, BBA, BBA-IB (International Business), BBA-CA (Computer Application), BBA in Design and Innovation, M.Com, and doctoral research programs (Ph.D.) in Commerce and Management. The curriculum is designed to blend theoretical knowledge with practical application, ensuring that students are industry-ready and socially conscious. Today,the college caters to approximately 3,000 students, fostering an environment that encourageslearning, leadership, and community engagement.

1.Induction program ‘Prarambh 25’:-
The Induction Program ‘Prarambh 25’ was organized on 19–20 November 2025 for FY BBA/B.com
students. The program included expert sessions on career planning, social media branding, cybersecurity, AI,
sustainability, and export-import basics, along with team-building activities, cultural events, and
motivational speeches by faculty and guests.
2.Guest lecture on ‘Discovering Life through Travel’:-
A guest lecture on ‘Discovering Life through Travel’ was organized for BBA/B.com students on 26 July
2025. The session highlighted the importance of travel in developing adaptability, cultural understanding,
networking skills, and personal as well as professional growth.
3.A guest lecture on ‘Balance beyond books: Yoga as a lifestyle for Young Achievers’:-
A guest lecture on ‘Balance beyond Books: Yoga as a Lifestyle for Young Achievers’ was organized for
BBA/B.com students to promote stress management, emotional well-being, and a healthy balance between
academics and personal life. Students learned simple yoga and breathing techniques to improve
concentration, mental clarity, and overall wellness.
4.A guest lecture on ‘AIDA Model’ for BBA Marketing Specialization students’:-
A guest lecture on the ‘AIDA Model’ was conducted for BBA Marketing students to explain the concepts of
Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action. The session provided practical marketing examples and helped
students understand real-world promotional strategies and career opportunities in marketing.
5.A guest lecture on ‘Exposure to the Estate Industry’:-
A guest lecture on ‘Exposure to the Real Estate Industry’ was organized for BBA-IB students on 12
December 2025. The session provided insights into market trends, investment opportunities, and the
functioning of the real estate sector, helping students understand practical industry operations and career
opportunities.
6. A guest lecture on ‘Print Media Industry’:-
A guest lecture on ‘Print Media Industry Exposure’ was organized for BBA-IB students on 13 December
2025. The session explained print media business models, advertising systems, and challenges faced in the
digital era, helping students understand media management and emerging opportunities in the
communication sector.
7. A guest lecture on ‘Communication- Key for corporate Success’:-
Key for Corporate Success’ was organized for FY BBA students on 3 January 2026. The session focused on
improving verbal, non-verbal, and digital communication skills, helping students build confidence,
interpersonal skills, and professional workplace etiquette
8.A visit to ‘career guidance expo 2025’:-
Students of BBA, BBA-IB, BBA-CA, and BBA-DI visited the Career Guidance Expo 2025 on 26
September 2025. The visit helped students understand emerging career opportunities, skill development, and
modern educational requirements for future professional growth.
9.International conference:-
Students from FY, SY, and TY BBA, BBA-IB, BBA-CA, and BBA-DI participated in the International
Conference on Inclusive Innovation for Sustainable, Economic and Social Transformation held on 8–9
January 2026. The conference enhanced students’ research knowledge, analytical thinking, and
understanding of practical and research-based concepts.
10.German Drama and Food festival 2025:-
The German Drama and Food Festival 2025 was organized for SY BBA-IB students on 27 December 2025
to promote intercultural learning and understanding of German culture. The event included drama
performances and food presentations, helping students improve creativity, teamwork, confidence, and
communication skills.
11.A session ‘Career in the Data Domain: Roles, Skills, and Real-World Task’:-
A session on ‘Career in the Data Domain: Roles, Skills, and Real-World Tasks’ was conducted for BBA-CA
students on 5 July 2025. The session highlighted career opportunities in Data Science and Business
Analytics, along with important skills like Python, SQL, data visualization, and analytical thinking.
12.A Guest lecture on ‘Career opportunities in Finance’:-
A guest lecture on ‘Career Opportunities in Finance’ was conducted for BBA Finance students on 12 July
2025. The session provided insights into career opportunities in banking, investment, financial analysis, and
corporate finance, while highlighting important financial and decision-making skills required in the finance
sector.
13.Exposure visit: BBA Design & Innovation:-
An exposure visit for BBA Design and Innovation students was organized on 3 December 2025 to provide
practical industry experience in design and innovation. The visit helped students understand industry
practices, design processes, and real-world applications while improving their knowledge of professional
expectations and internship opportunities.
14.Navotsav ’25 Celebration’:-
Students of BBA, BBA-IB, BBA-CA, and BBA Design and Innovation celebrated Navotsav’25 on 27
September 2025 with enthusiasm. The event promoted cultural values, teamwork, and management skills
through activities based on the theme of Navratri.
15.Buget Dhurandar 2025:-
The Budget Dhurandar 2025 activity was conducted for BBA Finance students on 22 December 2025 to
improve practical understanding of budgeting, financial planning, and decision-making. The activity helped
students apply financial concepts to real-life situations and develop analytical and resource management
skills.
16.Tech Festival 2025:-
The Tech Festival 2025 was organized on 12–13 January 2026 with active participation from students and
faculty members. The event included technical competitions, quizzes, E-sports, and cybersecurity activities
that encouraged teamwork, creativity, technical skills, and enthusiasm among students.
17.Consolidated report: Industrial Exposure visit:-
A series of industrial visits were organized for BBA, BBA-IB, BBA-CA, and BBA Design and Innovation
students in February 2025 to provide practical industry exposure. Students visited industries, production
units, agricultural sites, and innovation centers, which helped them understand industrial operations, design
processes, teamwork, and real-world professional practices.
18.Report: Social Orientation Program:-
A Social Orientation Program was conducted for first-year BBA, BBA-IB, BBA-CA, and BBA-DI students
from 9 to 14 February. The program focused on holistic development, social responsibility, personality
development, and life skills through sessions on health, education, career opportunities, and NSS activities.
19.Youthizion-2026 competition:-
The Youthizon-2026 Techno-Management Festival was organized from 25 to 27 February with various
competitions and activities. The festival encouraged creativity, teamwork, leadership, strategic thinking, and
practical learning while providing students a platform to showcase their talents and management skills.
